Meet the SWTL 5238 – the new 100 kW Sunward loader now available in Bulgaria!

Global manufacturer Sunward expands its compact track loader series with the new SWTL 5238 – a machine developed with a clear focus on higher productivity, improved hydraulic efficiency, and a broader range of applications.

We are pleased to introduce the SWTL 5238 – the new and most powerful compact track loader in Sunward’s portfolio. Thanks to its upgraded design and impressive specifications, the model features:

  • 100 kW engine power, lifting height of 3,361 mm, and rated operating capacity of 1,500 kg.
  • Innovative features: a new streamlined exterior design, upward-opening door, and enhanced cooling system.
  • Improved comfort: fully enclosed cab with better sealing and easy maintenance access.

With the introduction of the SWTL 5238, Sunward makes a clearly defined step into a higher professional segment. With increased load capacity, enhanced hydraulic efficiency, and greater stability when operating attachments, the model has been developed in response to the real demands of intensive daily use.

The SWTL 5238 builds upon the concept of a compact machine, expanding the scope of tasks it can perform on site. The undercarriage structure and lift arm geometry have been optimized to ensure improved weight distribution and enhanced stability when handling heavy loads and operating at height. These characteristics position the SWTL 5238 in a higher class compared to previous solutions from the brand.
The hydraulic system is one of the key areas on which Sunward’s engineers have focused in developing the new model. Increased flow rate and an optimized flow control system enable significantly more efficient operation with attachments such as augers, sweepers, mulchers, and other hydraulically powered tools.

In construction, the SWTL 5238 naturally fits the role of a versatile assistant for loading and unloading operations, handling bulk materials, site preparation, grading, and on-site logistics. The tracked undercarriage provides strong traction and low ground pressure, which is particularly important when working on soft, muddy, or unprepared surfaces, as well as in urban construction projects where access and space are limited.

In the agricultural sector, the new model positions itself as a highly efficient machine for farmyards and livestock facilities. Improved stability and higher hydraulic capacity allow seamless operation with bale clamps, bulk material buckets, pallet forks, and active attachments for cleaning and yard maintenance. For modern farms, where one compact machine must perform dozens of tasks throughout the day, this flexibility becomes a key economic advantage.

Special attention has also been given to the operator’s workspace. The cab and control layout have been optimized to provide better visibility of the working area, reduced vibration levels, and easier handling during extended work cycles – a factor that directly impacts productivity under intensive operation.

Comparison of SWTL 5238 vs. SWTL 4538

On the market, the SWTL 5238 is naturally evaluated in the context of the well-known SWTL 4538 model. Both loaders share a common concept designed for operation in confined spaces; however, the SWTL 5238 is developed for heavier-duty and more intensive tasks. Its greater lifting capacity, higher hydraulic output, and improved stability become decisive advantages in demanding applications.

With the SWTL 5238, Sunward elevates its compact track loader range into a higher professional segment, offering a compact yet high-performance machine with upgraded hydraulics, strong stability in demanding conditions, and excellent return on investment.

Working Applications of Compact Track Loaders

The SWTL 5238 and SWTL 4538 compact track loaders are designed as versatile platforms with high hydraulic flow, capable of operating a wide range of attachments and covering diverse applications across multiple economic sectors.

  • Construction – loading and unloading bulk materials, site preparation and grading, handling palletized loads, site cleaning, operation with augers, hydraulic sweepers, pavement planers, mulchers, compactors, snow blades, and supporting internal site logistics.
  • In road construction and infrastructure projects, compact track loaders are used for route maintenance, shoulder cleaning, operation with mulching attachments and mowers, ditch cleaning, and servicing small repair sections.
  • In agriculture and livestock farming, the machines are suitable for loading and unloading bales, feed, manure, and grain, cleaning farmyards, silage pads, and livestock buildings, transporting palletized materials, and operating bale clamps, mixing buckets, sweepers, augers, and attachments for maintaining internal farm roads.
  • In orchards and vineyards, compact dimensions and low ground pressure allow work between rows for transporting crates and pallets, maintaining inter-row spaces, mulching, clearing plant residues, and servicing storage areas.
  • In the municipal sector, the SWTL 5238 and SWTL 4538 are highly effective for winter maintenance with snow blades and sweepers, cleaning sidewalks and parks, mowing and mulching green areas, and maintaining urban infrastructure.
  • In industry and warehousing, the machines are suitable for internal material transport, pallet area servicing, loading and unloading operations in halls and production facilities, and cleaning large industrial areas.
  • In recycling, the SWTL 5238 and SWTL 4538 are used for handling bulk materials, compost, biomass, and waste, typically with high-capacity buckets, clamps, and hydraulic sweepers.
  • In forestry, the machines are applied in mulching, clearing forest tracks, servicing timber yards, handling logs with appropriate attachments, and maintaining forest roads.
